Decorating Sawyer's nursery has been the most emotional decorating experience of my life. I started planning this nursery before we were even pregnant, but originally suspected/hoped we would be welcoming a little boy. I planned on having some sort of animal theme that was semi gender neutral so that it would work for multiple babies throughout the years. About halfway through my pregnancy I realized that this could possibly be our only daughter (there may have been some tears just thinking about that). This realization made me want to make the nursery girly in case it's my only chance. That's when I began envisioning a floral animal theme.
The most breathtaking part of her room is the name sign and floral piece that my mom and I made! I got the idea from a blog that I've linked below. The most meaningful part of her room are the animal drawings that Daniel created for her. He is so talented, and really wanted to create something one of a kind for her room. I know that she will treasure those drawings forever. Another amazing part of the nursery is the adorable wreath hanging on her door. My sister in law, Ashley, had it made for us! I've always loved the ones she has on her kid's doors, and now Sawyer has one too!
So much love and work went into her nursery. I've already spent countless hours in Sawyer's room praying for her and her future. I am so excited to see our little girl in this home we have built for her.
