Shopping Made Easy // Binxy Baby

Binxy Baby Hammock (10% off)

I never wanted to be the type of mom that didn't go anywhere because of her kids. I was certain that I would still have the freedom to do what I wanted to do, like go to target. 🤣 Then I realized that babies need solid naps, comfortable awake time, and lots of attention from mama. I had to figure out how to provide those things, while also getting everything done that I need to do.  Which once you have a baby you still have all the same errands, chores, and responsibilities as before... plus more, who knew???

The first time I went grocery shopping by myself I was a nervous wreck. Carseats are really heavy and awkward, and up until Daniel went back to work I pretty much never even touched the carseat. Sawyer is fine in her carseat in the car. She usually falls right to sleep until the car stops then she usually wakes up. This of course happens every time I run errands because the drive isn't long enough to get her into a deep sleep, then I end up with a fussy baby stuck in her carseat that wants mom's attention. The only good way to go shopping with a baby in a carseat is if they stay sleep the whole time. I have yet to experience a happy baby waking up in their carseat. I also tried wearing her to the store, but she only likes this if she's sleepy. Otherwise she fusses and pushes against me trying to get out. Basically my first few trips to the store were stressful, and not the relaxing stroll through Target that I pictured.

Luckily Binxy baby gifted me their hammock, and it has been the best way to take Sawyer shopping. I used to wait until nap time hoping that she would sleep through the entire trip, but now I purposely go during her longer awake time so that she can look around and experience the store! She is so comfortable and content in her little hammock. She can easily see me, she's comforted by the movement of the cart, and I can easily take her in and out if she needs me. I also feel like she's a lot more stable in the hammock that attaches to the sides of the cart than in the carseat. I see moms precariously place their carseat on the top seat part of their cart and it makes me so nervous. I also hated how her carseat slid around in the cart. The hammock is perfectly secure, and has the safety belt to strap her in. I've also recently read how it negatively impacts a baby's breathing and heart rate to be in a car seat for an extended period of time. I'm so happy to have a safe, cozy alternative to bring the carseat into the store.
