Sleep Struggles Solved // Dock a Tot

I've always dreamed of having a baby who could sleep anywhere. Just plop them down and they fall right to sleep. That was obviously a first time mom, no idea what I was thinking, unrealistic expectation. Sawyer is an amazing sleeper at night, but those day time naps have been a struggle now that she's become more alert and active. It seemed like the second we laid her down she was completely awake again, even if I rocked her long after her eyes were closed.

Another issue we were having was how much she wiggles while asleep. I always swaddle her, and she turns into a little rolly polly. She immediately went to her side every time I laid her down. I know back is best, so this really bothered me!

The first night with our dockAtot was a game changer. I fed her, and immediately laid her down. No rocking, no shushing, no extra help. She didn't even stir. She went straight to sleep and slept her longest stretch yet, from 10-2:45 at less than a month old. That extra two hours made this mama soooo happy! She also sleeps completely flat on her back every single night. She has no desire to roll to her side because she's so cozy in the dockAtot.

We never planned on co-sleeping, but while she's still nursing in the middle of the night it's been the best. It gives us so many options for where she can sleep. Whether in her nursery, our bed, on the couch, anywhere feels like free game with the dockAtot.

The dockAtot has become a necessity for traveling. Whether for the day, for weekend trips, or for longer vacations! We took it on our first little family getaway to the lake house, and loved being able to take her out by the lake to nap in the grass. We also loved being able to plop it in one of the bedrooms and know that she's perfectly safe! This makes so much more sense for our family than carrying a pack and play with us everywhere. The carrying case was a must have for me, and it's seriously the best!

I'm so thankful that dockAtot gifted us with these products so that I could share with y'all how amazing they are for your little one! I love the freedom and flexibility it provides, and how absolutely adorable she looks in it.

xoxo,
kelsey
